Not garlic. It's a Northern hemisphere plant with medicinal properties, not necessarily found only in a garden.

Not Tichular. The first letter of the town is near the top of the ABC and that of the plant is near the other end of it.

Thanks Gussy, that was a long trek !

Replace two letters with one in this 10 letter place, then move another letter to another position to get a life supprt system.

On reflection life support is quite a wide, vague field, from water to resuscitation and lots in between. Could this be narrowed down a bit please? Nothing in the list has given a hint except Broadwater.

I'm sure you have seen a lot of them in your time as a nurse. It's not mechanical.

Yes, I saw a lot of things in my time but I can't see anything that sparks my memory in the list. Sorry, I'm on demisemi brain power today. I had a disturbed night last night with Billy so so am not functioning well today. Concentrating on the list made me doze off.

Changing Ti to U and moving one l to the end I can make Umbilical (cord understood), from Timbillica if that is what you mean.

Thanks Rumpy. Sorry, I was looking for a noun. Change one letter and add another one to this seven letter place to find an article useful to some people.
